Yes, Guild Wars will keep going after GW2 is released. I believe what the developers said was that they'd keep the servers up as long as people are still playing GW.

And people may be playing GW for a long time. It is always better to sell two games rather than just one.
Then too, some players may not like GW 2 [screams of horror from the audience] for any number of reasons and prefer to stay with GW. GW 2 will have higher requirements for hardware and with the economy the way it is not everyone can dish out the cash for a new or upgraded computer just to play a game. ANet can easily continue to update GW 1 with desirable vanity item qualification quests that keep GW 1 bringing in money. |

and realize that after GW2 comes out, they will have resources to spare. GW1 might get a little more love.

The most probable answer is no, why would they invest money into an old game? Why would people who bought GW2 want that money invested into GW1? Slight developments but nothing major. That will make you jump off your GW2 to do something in GW1 that will give you something in GW2.

Yup
I definitely think theyll keep the servers up because many people who are going to play GW2 may want to buy the original GW so they can get the HOM rewards which means more money for the company

That's if the rewards for GW2 aren't immediately trumped by level 30. My guess is they will be. Titles, maybe not. But items? most definitely. Most of the reward skins from HOM are meant to be "nostalgia" items from GW1...hence the Fellblade, stygian reaver, tabby cat, etc.

Yes after the release of GW2 they will keep the game running. But I don't expect them to develop things further for it.

If you mean "Developed" by that you mean more content then nobody knows that question bar Anet.
The Servers will remain up to play the game that has been confirmed, albeit mabe reduced as they will know the traffic playing the game once GW2 is released. I for one will play both coming back to have some fun on GW1.With a lot of accounts will still have plenty to do albeit doing a little title hunting on a few. |

I think they're gonna keep the servers up and running and have the seasonal events going, but i dont think we'll be seing any new content or major events like War in Kryta or similar, at least not for a while. They're gonna focus on GW2 first hand.
